In January of 2017, the city of Albany, Georgia, was devastated by a series of straight-line winds and an EF3 tornado. These two storms were nearly 3 weeks apart and forced our city to declare a state of emergency. With hundreds of homes demolished and neighbors ruined, we decided to try our chances at making a positive impact on our community. With much planning, many partnerships, and sponsors, we were able to SELL OUT one of our city’s hidden gems, The Albany Municipal Auditorium, for a night of comedy that would lift spirits and create a ripple effect of positivity throughout the community. We managed to raise over 70,000 dollars to benefit storms victims by donating the funds to one of our local non-profits, Mission Change.
